5 habit tweaks to experiment with plant-based eating and cooking in 2021
January 13, 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Eating a fully plant-based, vegan diet based on whole foods can have positive impacts for your health today and your long-term vitality as well. In addition, many people who embrace this way of eating report a greater sense of ease and purpose as their eating habits become coherent with their values. Could eating a whole foods plant-based diet do that for you?
Unfortunately, it seems like everything in modern society conspires against eating more healthfully. We lead busy lives and often make the choice of convenience over wholesomeness when 6 pm comes by and we don’t have a better plan. Some of us struggle with personal problems including physical and mental health issues, family situations, and other barriers that get in the way of transforming their diets.
But just because you can’t do everything it doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything.
In this hour-long Meetup event, I will suggest five habit tweaks you can use as experiments throughout 2021. Together, we’ll explore more ways in which you can leverage the power of habits to progressively move plants closer to the centre of your plate, where they belong. There’ll be lots of time for engaging with each other. Unfortunately, unlike what we did in past Meetups, we won’t be able to share food for this time – but I encourage you to pair this Meetup with a nice bowl of vegetable and bean soup.
Please join this event if:
– You are curious about plant-based and/or vegan eating but haven’t really tried it yet.
– You have tried plant-based eating but haven’t quite managed to stick with it as a full-time way of eating.
– You are already fully plant-based, so you can share your insight and experience with other attendees.
– Everyone in between!
The event is online and will most likely be held on Zoom, although I am open to other suggestions if you have any. There is a token fee for this event to create commitment, to ensure that people who RSVP actually show up. If the fee is a barrier to participation, please contact me.
Event link will be provided 48 hours before the meeting.
