In the upcoming 2020 NM state legislative session, Animal Protection Voters’ main focus will be on one priority bill: to create sustainable funding for desperately needed spay/neuter services for dogs and cats of lower-income families across New Mexico. 🐶🐱

This bill has been introduced every year since 2017, and passed the legislature in 2018 but was vetoed by then Governor Susana Martinez.

It’s now time for this bill to be signed into law once and for all to end the shameful and wasteful cycle of over 100,000 dogs and cats entering New Mexico’s animal shelters every year. 👍👍👍
