What: Bear Canyon SUNSET hike plus optional vegan dinner at Annapurna’s

Location: Michial M Emery Trailhead (sometimes spelled Michael M Emery Trailhead, also known as Bear Canyon Trailhead), High Desert Place, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87111 (Meet at the rock benches) GPS Coordinates[masked], [masked]

The plan this time is for a pretty easy hike of about 3 to 4 miles, depending on how it’s going. We’ll be on the trail to watch the sunset and the holiday lights beginning to light up Albuquerque. Parking is free at this location, but sometimes the lot fills up and there can be a brief wait for a space to become available. There is also some street parking available on side streets off of High Desert Place about a quarter mile south of the main trailhead parking lot.

Please use care in ordering as not all dishes at Annapurna’s are completely vegan. Please respect all members of this ABQ Vegan Meetup event by ensuring that any food we bring along for the hike or order at the restaurant is completely plant-based (no meat, no dairy, no eggs, and no honey). If you would like to join for the lunch only that would be great too, but I can only predict a very approximate arrival time at the restaurant of about 6 PM, to leave some flexibility for the speed of the hike.
