REGISTER HERE: https://bit.ly/2Usojg2
Explore the interdependence of soil health and human health through our community visit to the majestic Ethos Farm, located in Long Valley, New Jersey. Less than two hours from the city, Ethos Farm is an oasis of health for people and the planet. Grab your family or friends, and join us on the farm!
Our schedule:
2:00 PM: Arrival and produce shopping at the Ethos Farm Market, which closes at 3:00 PM
2:45: PPMNY welcome and introductions
3:15: Farm tour with Ethos’ master farmer Nora Pugliese
4:15: Presentation and discussion with Lifestyle Medicine advocate Saray Stancic, MD, and concurrent children’s movement activity with Danielle Medina
5:15: Appetizers
5:30: Open Q&A with Ethos Farm founder and PPMNY Medical Advisory Board member Ron Weiss, MD
We’ll learn how the Ethos team has rejuvenated the land, formerly depleted by conventional farming, and the regenerative farming methods they use to grow a diverse range of nutrient-rich plants while protecting the animal species which call the valley home. Physician and plant-based nutrition advocate, Saray Stancic, MD, will share her personal health recovery from multiple sclerosis, her efforts to bring the power of lifestyle medicine to the forefront of the medical community, and how you can take charge of your health through nutrition and other healthy habits. We’ll enjoy farm-fresh appetizers, followed by a learning session with Ethos Primary Care and Ethos Farm founder Ron Weiss, MD. Dr. Weiss is raising the standard of healthcare by guiding his patients on the path to preventing and reversing chronic disease through conscious awareness of where our food comes from and its vital role in our health.
During Dr. Stancic’s session, our youngest visitors can enjoy a movement activity and explore the land with PPMNY Brooklyn Organizer Danielle Medina, AFAA, ACE, RYT.
Tickets must be purchased by July 9, 2021 to guarantee your spot on our visit; limited space may be available after this date. We have four ticket prices:
