If you feel comfortable meeting up with veg friends outdoors, this is the event for you. If you do not feel comfortable, it is not the event for you. We all have internet access to review the science. Bring a blanket or camp chair, a picnic brunch for yourself, and anything you need to make yourself feel comfortable like masks (see rule #2), sunscreen and/or bug repellent (please apply these products before you enter the garden), hand sanitizer, gloves, wipes, and water.

Here are the rules we are asking attendees to follow:

1. If you RSVP, show up—UNLESS you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19. We don’t want you to attend if either of those things take place. Do cancel your RSVP under those circumstances.
2. Please honor the spirit of our group by bringing only vegan food and drinks.
3. Practice consent*. That means you will assume each person wants to be 6 feet away from you unless the person specifically tells you that you may come closer than 6 feet. And if the person gives their consent for you to have less than 6 feet distance, ask if they prefer you wear a mask. If they want you to wear a mask at less than 6 feet distance and you do not want to wear a mask, do not come closer than 6 feet. *Do not assume the person will consent to things with you that they consent to do with others.
4. We strongly advise against sharing food with folks you do not live with or have frequent contact with.
5. Consider bringing reusable tableware to cut down on waste.
6. Clean up after yourself. Perhaps you should tuck a trash bag into your picnic basket to make it easier.
7. Be nice.

We know the number of attendees is quite limited. We plan to have more picnics. 🙂
