PlantbasedOKC was founded in 2009 by Dr. Jimmy Conway and his wife Andrea after Jimmy learned he suffered from severe blockage in a major artery. After triple bypass surgery was recommended by his cardiologist, Jimmy and Andrea immersed themselves in literature and medical studies looking for an alternative to surgery.

Andrea and Jimmy provide free seminars throughout the Oklahoma City area on how to get started on a path to better health through a whole-foods, plant-based diet. Andrea also provides personal health coaching for those seeking to make changes to their health and wellness through a whole-foods approach.
