4:30 PM: optional pre-hike dinner at La Salita (description below)
6:30 PM: Hike, Copper Ave to Aluminum Yucca

This time we’ll make it a fun, moderately difficult hike from the Copper Trailhead. Starting our hike at 6:30 PM, we’ll take trail 400 east to trail 375 and 365 south and we will end up at the Aluminum Yucca on the north side of I-40. We will investigate the Aluminum Yucca briefly, and learn a bit about its history, before heading north back to the trailhead. We’ll have some options to vary the route on the way back. We will keep it to about 2 hours.
It will get dark. Bring a flashlight.

As a PRE-HIKE option: 4:30 PM dinner at La Salita, 1950 Juan Tabo Blvd NE, Suite H, Albuquerque, NM.

La Salita has many vegan options, and they offer vegan cheese. Please use care in ordering as most dishes need some modification to be vegan. Please respect all members of this ABQ Vegan Meetup event by ensuring that any food we bring along for the hike or order at the restaurant is completely vegan (no meat, no dairy, no eggs, and no honey).
