Peace & Wellness Retreat in Houston for only $20: Join Us There!

Meet us in Houston for a day retreat with workshops which promote holistic wellness. Yoga classes, guided meditation and nutrition classes are supplemented with lectures and presentations which allow individuals to deepen their practice. This entire program is organized by our friends Drs. Munish & Bandana Chawla of Peaceful Planet Foundation.
They are offering an entire day of wellness, lectures, opportunities to meet like-minded individuals and a plant-based meal included for only a suggested donation of $20 per individual OR $50 for a family to 4 participants. Scholarships available for teachers & students.

Auditorium 9:30-10:20 Dr. Rizwan Bukhari, Keynote: Nutrition & Cardiovascular Disease
Dr. Bukhari is a plant-based vascular surgeon who specializes in treating advanced cases of atherosclerotic disease which is mainly the result of poor nutrition and poor lifestyle choices. In this session, Dr. Bukhari will discuss how the SAD (standard American diet) based on animal foods and highly processed foods increases our chances of developing heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes and how a whole food plant-based diet, rich in fiber, vitamins, and phytonutrients can prevent and even reverse the above mentioned diseases.
