Pino Trail early morning hike with vegans!

Let’s head out for some hiking and socializing with other vegans in the cool of the early morning on the Pino Trail. We will enjoy beautiful views and we will get close enough to see and hear the Sandia Peak Tram.
Location: Pino Trailhead, Elena Gallegos Park, Albuquerque, NM 87111 (The parking lot is a counterclockwise loop. Meet at the 3rd trailhead as you circumnavigate the parking lot.) GPS coordinates[masked], [masked]
Price: $2 for parking. You may need exact change. Parking near the trailhead fills up fast so allowing a few extra minutes to walk from your parking space would be a good idea to help us to hit the trail on time.
There are porta-potty type facilities at the trailhead.
This is a moderately difficult hike so please be prepared with at least a moderate level of physical conditioning. The trail is relatively smooth, but there will be long sections of steep hills. There will be some shade in the higher section of the hike. We will not go to the top. The plan is to hike up the mountain for about an hour, and then turn around to return the way we came up, for a round trip total of 4 to 5 miles. Bring water!
