Peripheral Vascular Disease:
Peripheral vascular disease also known as atherosclerosis is basically hardening of the arteries which can occur in the heart arteries as well as any other artery in the body. Once the plaque begins to block the vessel it can progress and lead to severe life and limb threatening consequences.

What are the risk factors?
High blood pressure, high cholesterol and fats, and diabetes can contribute to the development of atherosclerosis.

Develop Heart Healthy Habits:
While there are some risk factors that one cannot control, lifestyle choices are controllable. Dr. Bukhari specializes in treating advanced atherosclerosis. He educates the public on how to prevent these advanced cases by making healthy lifestyle choices.
