Summer Series: Fast Food Genocide
June 17, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Tennessee leads the nation in youth obesity, ages 10-17, and is number one in medical bankruptcies. Join us as we watch Dr. Joel Furhman’s “Fast Food Genocide”, a sobering look at the exorbitant cost to the nation from having a sickly, medically dependent populace addicted to highly processed and fast food. The suffering is real and research shows that the SAD diet increases the risk for heart disease, stroke, obesity, diabetes, cancer, autoimmune diseases, learning disability, depression, mental illness, and more. This event is free.
For tasting: Antipasto with vegan un-pepperoni, not-feta, and creamy Italian dressing, all oil and sugar free.
Doors open at 6:30. If you have not had a chance to eat before coming, we keep PlantPure entrees on hand for $6 each.
Hudsplace Event Center
2110 E Broadway
Maryville, TN 37804
TDOT is keeping access to the Event Center parking lot challenging. As of this writing:
___Right turns into the parking lot from Broadway are possible.
___Left turns into the parking lot from Broadway are blocked by a barrier in the
center to the road. Possible solutions, if approaching on Broadway from the
north (toward Knoxville):
___Drive past the Event Center, toward downtown Maryville, turn around to
go in the opposite direction on Broadway, and use the right turn to
access the parking lot.
___Use the circuitous back way, from Old Knoxville Pk., turn in behind
Family Dollar (unmarked), near Brown School Rd. Drive behind Family
Dollar, cross Brown School Rd., enter the parking lot from the side.
Good Luck.
