Let’s enjoy a late afternoon of hiking and socializing with vegans, finishing up with a beautiful Albuquerque sunset. Take Indian School east all the way to the end and then park on the street just outside the main gate rather than going into the Embudo parking lot. We’ll take trail 365A to trail 365 and hike around the dry lake bed behind the dam, with a couple of side trips to some scenic overlooks. This is a moderately difficult hike. Some parts of the trail are pretty steep but there are no long, steep hills, and we won’t gain a lot of elevation overall. We will keep it to 2 hours, finishing just minutes after sunset, so flashlights will not be needed.
