Walk & Talk With Dr. Riz: 10/19/19 at 10 a.m.
October 19, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) launched their Let’s Beat Breast Cancer A 4-pronged Approach.
A healthful diet and lifestyle can help you reduce your risk of breast cancer. You can take four simple steps to make it less likely to start in the first place, or less likely to come back if you’ve already been diagnosed: Choose plant-based foods, exercise, limit alcohol, and aim for a healthy weight. Visit their website to learn more and to receive a FREE 46-page cookbook. https://www.pcrm.org/letsbeatbreastcancer
In honor of this new campaign, we have invited Dianne Doyle. She is a friend, a mother, wife and passionate about teaching others to take control of their health. http://www.plantbaseddallas.com

According to the Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Campaign: Exercising Regularly can help reduce your risk of breast cancer. If you are sedentary now, it helps to start exercising slowly and build up gradually. Briskly walking for ten or fifteen minutes three times per week is a good beginning. You can then add five minutes to each walk until you are walking for 30 or 40 minutes at a time. When you feel ready to take it up a notch, you can add running, swimming, cycling, or other activities you find enjoyable.
