Wayne Hsiung is a previous lawyer and law professor who went on to co-found and organize the grassroots animal rights network, Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) in 2013.

Although DxE originated in Berkeley, CA, the organization has grown into an international network. Activists in chapters all over the world (including here in San Diego!) are now regularly taking nonviolent direct action for species equality.

Nonviolence for DxE was inspired by past social justice movements as an effective way to create change. The change DxE seeks is total animal liberation- a world where every sentient being is given the chance for the same safety, happiness, and freedom that we ask for ourselves.

Wayne Hsiung and DxE have a plan to achieve revolutionary social and political change for animals — and they plan to do it in just one generation.
