x-Post: Considerations in Plant-Based Eating for the Jewish New Year

September 7, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

This event is presented by Plant Powered Metro New York.

With Rosh Hashanah around the corner, many Jews everywhere are preparing for lavish family meals to ring in the new year. How can we make food choices to protect and promote our health in the midst of a global pandemic?

PPMNY Medical Advisory Board member Melinda Mann, MD, an OB/GYN affiliated with Maimonides Medical Center in Borough Park, brings Jewish community members and kosher consumers a clear message: Put whole plant foods on your plate this holiday and every day. Dr. Mann will share her own story of reclaiming her health with food and discuss the pros and cons of diving into the deep end vs. wading into the shallow end of healthier eating.

Karen Stern, PPMNY Westchester Organizer, will also share easy, delicious recipes for your Rosh Hashanah meals. Get inspired to start this year differently.

A Zoom meeting link will be sent to participants on the day of this event.
