Join our September virtual book club discussion with Own Your Health: How to Live Long & Avoid Chronic Illness authors Glen Merzer and Chef AJ! We’ll kick off the book discussion with PPMNY’s Associate Network Director, Lynn Diamond, followed by a lively conversation with the authors in the final hour of the session.
In down-to-earth language with a hearty helping of humor, Glen Merzer uses personal experience, real-life stories, and case studies to illustrate what science has repeatedly confirmed: plant-based diets prevent chronic disease. From the overall lack of nutritional knowledge among western healthcare providers to the impact of animal farming on climate change to how our bodies are physiologically designed for plant foods, Merzer leaves no stone unturned. Chef AJ contributed more than 75 delicious recipes — all free of oil, sugar, flour, gluten, and salt.

Glen Merzer has worked as a stand-up comic, a playwright, and network television writer before turning his attention to writing books. He is the co-author with Howard Lyman of two books, Mad Cowboy and No More Bull. He also co-authored two books, Unprocessed and The Secrets to Ultimate Weight Loss, with Chef AJ.

Chef AJ is a chef, culinary instructor, professional speaker, author, and the creator of the Ultimate Weight Loss Program which has helped hundreds achieve a healthy weight. She is the host of Chef AJ Live! on YouTube and the coauthor of Unprocessed and The Secrets to Ultimate Weight Loss.
